Biography
Linda Sheldon has a B.A. in Psychology from Barnard College, NYC, a Masters Degree in Psychology from The New School for Social Research, NYC, a Masters Degree in Public Administration and a Graduate Professional Diploma in Mental Health Administration, both from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She worked for 12 years as a therapist, case manager, grant writer and program administrator at a residential treatment center for emotionally disturbed and delinquent teenagers.
Linda is a Reike Master, a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, a Certified Akasic Healer, Pranic Healer, and Acupressure Practitioner and Teacher. She has also studied, practiced and taught Spiritual Healing, Yoga, Meditation, BreathWalk, Bach Flower Essences and Dowsing. She has maintained an active healing and coaching practices for over fifteen years and has organized and led Healing Circles in New York City and Connecticut.
As a Consultant to other Professionals in Alternative Healing and Dowsing, she has organized and directed workshops and seminars on their behalf. Linda has also served as a Consultant on a number of business projects including SEAFRIENDS, an environmentally friendly nonprofit corporation dedicated to saving the oceans and protecting wildlife. Linda is a lifetime member of The Ozark Research Institute, a member of The American Society of Dowsers and A.R.E.
Linda is an avid athlete involved in running, cycling, swimming and weight training. She has competed in many road races including several NYC and Long Island Marathons as well as a 55 mile charity bike ride to raise money to provide bicycle helmets and car safety seats for children whose parents cannot afford them.
As a Certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor she currently teaches 8 Kundalini Yoga classes a week as well as 4 Yogalates classes. Linda is also a YogaFit Certified Instructor and teaches a YogaFit Senior Yoga class once a week as well as private individual and group lessons.
Linda is a Life Coach, assisting others in improving all areas of their lives in a co-active way that supports mind-body-psychological-spiritual growth and well-being.
